OUR STORY
As animal lovers, we and feel more of a connection with them than with humans. We believe that pet owners often feel the same way and can recognise when their pets are happy and comfortable.
All pet owners strongly feel that every pet deserves the most comfortable accessories one can give. However, we are often drawn to very pretty and cheap products that would not stand the test of time. Then the thoughts and questions in our mind are things like "what a waste of time, energy, and resources manufacturing the said product only for it to fail to deliver its purpose. Could there not be another way to obtain a better product?"
This is what inspired us to start our journey. As keen and conscientious environmentalists, providing sustainable pet products for our dogs took a lot of work, and their clothing size was only available sometimes. Having thought there may be people out there struggling like we did, a business was born.
OUR PRODUCT SOURCING APPROACH
We look for products that could be used longer, and we are excited about recycled materials and other sustainable materials that could be obtained from nature without harming the environment. While we are not experts in this field of study, we understand that not all components that are needed for our products are a hundred per cent what they are expected to be.
We approach manufacturers, discuss products, obtain samples, and send them out for testing. Our individual product testing pet owners get to review these products’ quality and material, comfortability, and ease of use. They are given questionnaires where they give their constructive product evaluation, views, and relevance of the product. The results are then sent back to us, and they, in turn, are assessed by us and eventually inform our decision on the product.
OUR GOAL
We aim to make sustainable pet supplies available for different pet sizes and as many dog breeds as possible. At Ausimigs, product quality, functionality, and durability are paramount to our brand, and we are enthusiastic about working with suppliers that share the same ethical view.
